Leaks are appearing quickly as the next generation Samsung Galaxy S series , which is expected to debut in January 2024, draws near. According to the most recent report, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may have a titanium frame, putting it on par with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in terms of construction quality.

There are also rumours of a speedier CPU, a flatter display, and an improved 50MP 5x telephoto camera. Notably, there are rumours going around suggesting that these improved components might not be present in the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus base models.
Recently, Windows Report claimed to have leaked several exclusive features and released what appear to be authentic pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. The base and Plus models might have aluminium armour instead of titanium, while the flagship model is expected to have a titanium frame. This is significant since it is the first time a titanium chassis has been included in a Samsung smartphone.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra would include a titanium frame. Four distinct colors—Titanium Black, Titanium Grey, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow—are anticipated for the flagship phone.
Additionally, it can have a 6.8-inch QHD+ display that is flatter and has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is probably going to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which could result in a significant improvement in overall performance.
Apart from these capabilities, a flexible set of four rear cameras—a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP 3x zoom lens, and a 50MP 5x periscope lens—are allegedly included in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is expected that the smartphone will have 12GB of RAM available in all of its storage options. It is anticipated to include Ultra Wide Band (UWB) and Wi-Fi 7 connections.
According to the report, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models might not have a titanium frame, UWB, or a 5x optical zoom, among other features. It is anticipated that the phones will have an aluminium frame. Possible colour options include Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Cobalt Violet, and Amber Yellow.
Emphasizing that none of this information comes from official sources is important, so it should be viewed with some scepticism. The final specs and changes to the design won’t be revealed until the official launch, which is scheduled for January 17.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications (leaked)
As per the report, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and use a titanium frame. It is said to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage options. For optics, the handset is anticipated to carry a quad rear camera unit, comprising a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. It might include a 12-megapixel selfie shooter.
Several models are mentioned in the paperwork, including SM-S921U for the base model, SM-S926B for the Galaxy S24 Plus and SM-S928B for the Ultra unit. If that last one looks familiar, it’s the same model number that was referenced in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, which is another consumer goods regulatory body in India.
This comes after conflicting rumours about whether or not the S24 range will exclusively use the company’s in-house Exynos chipset. But this filing suggest that, at least in the U.S., they will be powered by Qualcomm’s chipset. It’s not unusual for Samsung to switch between chipsets for its smartphones depending on where it’s selling the device. So we’ll have to see which countries get which processor when the phones launch next year.
Notably, the vanilla Galaxy S23 is available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options, priced in India at Rs. 74,999 and Rs. 79,999, respectively. The Galaxy S23+ comes in configurations of 8GB + 256GB, priced at Rs. 94,999, and 8GB + 512GB which costs Rs. 1,04,999. The high-end Galaxy S23 Ultra is offered in three variants – 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 1TB in the country. These options are listed at Rs. 1,24,999, Rs. 1,34,999, and Rs. 1,54,999, respectively.
The Galaxy S24 series has also been spotted on the FCC website with 5G and NFC connectivity options, according to a report by MySmartPrice. The Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models were seen to include UWB support. The Samsung Galaxy S24+ is reportedly listed on the site with the model number SM-S926U which suggests that the phone could get 25W wired charging support.
Elsewhere, some leaked specifications reveal that the S24 range will have the exact same amount of RAM as previous models. Reliable Samsung tipster Ice Universe posted on Twitter/X that the new Galaxy models will have between 8GB and 12GB of RAM. The exact same amount as last year’s lineup.
